Job Description: Treasury Analyst
Position Overview:
The Treasury Analyst plays a crucial role in managing financial activities and ensuring effective cash management for the organization. This position requires a strong understanding of finance principles, exceptional analytical skills, and attention to detail. The Treasury Analyst will be responsible for monitoring cash flows, executing transactions, maintaining banking relationships, and providing accurate financial reports. This role requires collaboration with various departments, including Accounting, Finance, and Operations, to support strategic decision-making and optimize cash management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and analyze cash flows to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operational needs.
2. Execute cash management operations, including cash positioning, funding, and disbursements.
3. Prepare accurate cash forecasts to effectively manage working capital requirements.
4. Maintain banking relationships and coordinate banking activities, including account management, credit facilities, and negotiation of fees.
5. Conduct regular analysis of cash flow variances and provide recommendations to optimize cash management processes.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cash management strategies aligned with organizational goals.
7. Monitor and analyze global financial markets and regulatory changes to assess potential impacts on treasury operations.
8. Prepare and present financial reports, including cash flow projections, liquidity analysis, and investment performance reports.
9. Manage and reconcile treasury-related accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.
10. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of treasury operations.
11. Assist in the development and implementation of treasury policies, procedures, and controls.
12. Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and timely financial information.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in treasury operations or a related financial role.
3. Strong understanding of financial principles and cash management practices.
4. Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting techniques.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
6. Advanced knowledge of banking systems and cash management tools.
7. Solid understanding of global financial markets and regulatory requirements.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
9. Proficient in using financial software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.
